six more days......i hope

well we are now on the home stretch and we are both feeling more than ready for this pregnancy to be over! there seems to be a trend amoung our friends lately for babies to come 10 days late. we are really hoping to break that trend! are we prepared for what is to come? well, physically we are, but emotionally...i'm not sure. but is anyone ever really ready for their first child?

when i say we are physically prepared i mean that we have everything we need for bringing a newborn home. our cell group had a baby shower for us this past thursday and Vic and Christa were gracious enough to host it. despite the bad road conditions because of our recent snowfall there was a very good turn out. thanks to everyone who was able to make it out. it was good for me to be able to get out of the house and spend an evening with good friends. we also feel very blessed by all the presents and were thankful to receive alot of practical things we were still needing. below are some pics of just a few things we received.

so i am kind of hoping that this is my last blog posting before the baby comes. or if i go past my due date i guess i may be posting to keep everyone updated so our phone isn't ringing off the hook! i do realize that this could happen any day so i figured i should take some pictures of how big my stomach actually is at this point. awhile ago i thought it couldn't get any bigger, but it did! so here are my last pregnancy pictures. the next set of pictures i post will be of a little one!

39 weeks
