a day out with the dueck's

so we had a 'soccer free' saturday. adrian usually has a soccer game on saturday afternoons, but this week it was cancelled. so we took this opportunity to spend the day together as a family. i wanted to take some family pictures for our christmas card and adrian suggested we go to cultus lake. the weather was beautiful, the sun was out, there was hardly anyone at the beach. but then came 'the wind'! so our pictures didn't turn out so well, and it got cold fast. but we still had fun. here are a few pics of just my boys





















so from there we decided to go buy landen a new car seat, which turned into buying ourselves a new tv. well, we had talked about it for awhile, and we found a great deal. adrian was happy, and well landen, he didn't even know he needed a new car seat, so no one was disappointed. he'll still get his car seat, we just didn't find one we liked yet.

we then decided to give the pictues one more shot and went to bateman park, not too far from our house (where adrian used to play soccer). and there was no wind! adrian also decided to try out his photography skills and take some pictures of me and landen. i have had a few requests for those, and i don't put them up because i don't have them! honest, i'm always the one behind the camera. but adrian did a really good job, looks like he's been paying attention when i've been taking pictures.
























and i know alot of you really want to hear the landen updates, so here they are. it is true, they do change so fast, it sometimes feel like it's hard to keep up! especially with the little adventure seeker we have on our hands.

so last night he started to crawl a little bit on his knees, unless he's in a hurry. he can crawl into the smallest places (to find cords to chew on or to get to where milo is). and the odd time he doesn't fit and gets his head stuck. he prefers to climb over things rather than crawl around them. he is very persistant (no matter how many times i take him away, he will always go back), too bad for him i am too. he can pull himself up onto his knees, which has caused him problems already, as you can see from the mark on his nose in the pictures above.

he loves to give kisses (that's what he is doing in the picture above, not trying to eat me). he learnt how to awhile ago, but now he does it without us even asking for them, it is so sweet. he still does his wave, i will have to put a video of it up sometime soon for those of you who have not seen it, but he thinks he is quite charming when he does it. he has four teeth now, three on the bottom, and one of the top middle teeth just came through the other day, the second one will follow shortly i'm sure.

so that is landen right now. still full of smiles and giggles. still my little angel.
