happy birthday landen!

my little boy is growing up. i know it's a total cliche, but it seems like not that long ago we left for the hospital as a family of two and came home as a family of three. i can't say the first few weeks were easy, but landen has made our job seem a lot easier than we were expecting.

and now he is one. it has been quite the adventure over the last year. having landen was definitely life changing, and we have been blessed with a very happy child (may have something to do with his middle name, asher, which means 'happy or fortunate'). i think we are the fortunate ones.

for those of you who don't know, i thought i would also share with you the significance of the 17th. it seems to be a very important date for our family. adrian and i were engaged on Nov 17th 2001, married on Aug 17th 2002, landen born on Jan 17th 2007, and adrian's first father's day was on June 17th 2007. coincidence? we don't think so.

so now for the pictures. i thought it would start with a picture of landen right after he was born to show how much he has changed. the rest of the pictures were taken today, on his first birthday. i had to show off his curls after his bath in my favorite pajamas of his. (the mark on his lip is from a disagreement he had with the dishwasher yesterday)
